One of the greatest folk singer of Kurdish society , originally Armenian , sang mostly in Kurdish , Arabic, Armenian. He died in Athens where he was taken to a hospital after attending Newruz Celebrations in Diyarbakır,Turkey. He said before in his testament that he wanted to be buried in Diyarbakır/Amed but the Turkish Government did not allow him to be buried there , now he is resting in an Armenian Cemetery in Brussels/Belgium.
